Then, if you're up for a wilder ride, we'll shift gears with Russ Meyer's Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! This one's a sexploitation cult classic, a high-octane, action-packed thrill ride featuring some seriously fierce women who know how to take charge. It's bold, it's brash, and it's definitely unforgettable.

Get ready for a movie night celebrating the quirky genius of the Coen brothers! We're featuring two of their most beloved and hilarious films:
First up, we're heading to the Depression-era South with O Brother, Where Art Thou? Join a trio of escaped convicts on a madcap search for treasure, filled with colorful characters, bluegrass tunes, and a touch of Homer's Odyssey.
Then, we're shifting gears to modern-day Arizona with Raising Arizona. This fast-paced, irreverent comedy follows a bumbling ex-con and his wife as they decide to "borrow" a baby from a wealthy family. Expect mayhem, memorable lines, and Nicolas Cage at his most... energetic.

For August we're screening a truly perfect film: The Mummy! I've chosen this one especially because it's my birthday weekend, and I absolutely love it!
It's got it all: spitting camels, ancient curses, witty banter, and enough swashbuckling action to fill Hamunaptra. Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz lead us on an unforgettable ride through Egyptian tombs and supernatural mayhem, with lots of laughs along the way.
After we've survived the curses of Imhotep (and probably quoted half the movie), we'll keep the good times rolling by heading inside for some board games or poker.
Looking forward to seeing you all in August!

9:00 - 11:30 pm
2001
Director: David Lynch
Starring: Naomi Watts, Laura Harring, Justin Theroux
Alright, film enthusiasts, let's get started with a plunge into the darkly comedic world of Heathers. This 1988 gem serves up a wickedly satirical look at high school hierarchies and the absurd lengths some will go to for social power. We're in for a wild ride filled with sharp wit, subversive humor, and a body count that's surprisingly entertaining. Get ready to question the very nature of popularity and the consequences of conformity in the most twisted way imaginable.
If you're prepared to stick around after the Heathers mayhem, we'll shift gears into the surreal and often unsettling realm of David Lynch with Mulholland Drive. This 2001 masterpiece is a cinematic puzzle box, a dreamlike exploration of identity, memory, and the dark side of Hollywood ambition. While seemingly worlds apart, both films delve into the complexities of identity and the deceptive nature of appearances. Heathers exposes the rot beneath the polished veneer of high school society, while Mulholland Drive unravels the illusion of dreams and the fractured reality of the self.
